Full or Part Time: Full-time only
Reports to: Shift Foreman
JOB SUMMARY:
- The primary responsibility of the Production Operator is to operate your production area in a safe and efficient manner.
- The Production Operator is responsible for:
- safely and efficiently fulfilling the assigned tasks given by the Shift Foreman.
- assisting fellow operators when needed.
- performing visual quality inspections.
- Performing general housekeeping of your assigned area daily.
- reporting any and all issues to the Shift Foreman promptly.
- Safety and quality should always be part of the daily operation:
- to ensure a safe workplace,
- and to produce the highest quality product possible.
SAFETY
- This operation's position is a safety-sensitive position due to routine close proximity to moving and automatic equipment as well as mobile equipment.
- Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures at all times.
OPERATIONS
- Follow all production area safe operating procedures.
- Properly store items such as brooms, shovels, and trash cans.
- Know how to safely start, stop, and test all equipment in the area.
- Understand and follow all safe operating procedures for mobile equipment.
- Be willing to learn and grow into an excellent operator.
