Professional Land Surveyor Job at Horizons Engineering
Horizons Engineering is looking for a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or experienced Surveyor in Training to join our team. You will be working with a dedicated and diverse group of civil engineers, surveyors and geologists on a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, energy, and commercial projects throughout northern New England. Job Responsibilities
- Project Management of all facets of surveying typical for northern New England
- Manage field crews, and complete field surveying using robotic and GPS instruments
- Prepare final sealed surveys for boundary, subdivision, site plan etc.
- Prepare engineering basemaps for civil and structural design projects
- Communicate with architects, engineers, geologists, etc. in a collaborative effort
- Follow accepted state surveying standards
- Coordinate with Principal Surveyor for evaluation of staffing, equipment, project and marketing efforts
Education
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related engineering field
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ten years' experience as a land surveyor with supervisory experience
- Professional Land Surveying license, or Land Surveyor in Training with ability to be licensed within 18 months
- Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of the principles of boundary surveying
- Strong time management skills and ability to work outdoors in varied terrain
- Experience with computer drafting programs
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
