Overview:
- Join a growing “Inc. 500” firm on a long-term contract as a consultant in support of managing exciting, leading-edge programs.
Job Summary:
- Works closely with the project team, program manager, and executives to perform basic and complex administrative and project management functions as required. Supports development of and maintains project management plan (PMP). Supports development of and maintains project schedule in MS Project.
- Has the ability to prepare reports, briefings, and other communication based on information gathered for presentation.
- Collects data and prepares organization-wide project status reports, analyzes and briefs status, delivers status reports. Analyzes and reports on schedule performance index (SPI), cost performance index (CPI), and earned value (EVM).
- Coordinates efforts to optimize cross-project resources, supports task scheduling, resource assignments, presents options and plans to program manager and executives for action.
- Assists the individual project participants with resources and guidance for documentation, training, and best practices.
- Conducts Program/Project Risk Management and maintains active Risk Management Register.
- Participates in the financial auditing and assessment of completed projects and the development of future project roadmaps. Supports invoice preparation, funding tracking, burn rate tracking.
- Contributes to complex aspects of a project to include deliverable Quality Assurance reviews and the assessment/logging of critical and non-critical deliverable issues in accordance with a deliverable review process.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Tools and desktop computing technology.
- Must be proficient in writing reports, MS Excel, MS Project, EVM, PMBOK, MS PPT for presentations, and MS Teams for content and team management. Must possess fundamental consulting skills and demonstrate experience and effective interaction with management and clients.
Place of Work:
This is a hybrid position with work performed 1.) at the government client site in Washington, DC; 2.) at the company office in Anne Arundel County, Maryland; and 3.) via telework.
Experience Requirements:
- Two years of experience minimum, 6+ years desired.
- Experience working on a government contract supporting a government client.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- PMP certificate, active and registered with PMI.
- Writing samples required.
- U.S. citizenship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $109,000.00 - $129,000.00 per year
