The Patient Service Representative position is a full time clerical position responsible for a variety of tasks and duties related to patient relations including scheduling appointments, answering questions and verifying insurance.

Responsibilities include:

• Books, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments
• Relays necessary messages to staff regarding appointments and schedules
• Verifies necessary patient information and insurance information
• Maintains and updates current information on physician’s schedules ensuring patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed
• Ensures data is inputted correctly in system
• Updates patient profiles
• Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing
• Other duties as required by position

Hours:

This is a full-time position and would be scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

• Excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone
• Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively both in person and over the phone
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills

Clinical and appointment scheduling experience and understanding of medical terminology are preferred but not required.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Assisting Certification preferred, but not required
