Job Summary: Quality Assurance Tester

As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products before they are released to customers. Your primary focus will be on testing the functionality, performance, and security of our software applications, both manually and using automated testing tools.

You will work closely with the development team to identify and report bugs and issues, and provide detailed feedback on how to improve the product. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans and test cases, and executing them to ensure the product meets quality standards.

In addition to your testing responsibilities, you will also be involved in the product development process, working with the development team to ensure that quality is built into the product from the beginning. You will participate in design and requirements review meetings, and provide input on how to improve the user experience.

You will collaborate with other members of the product team to ensure that the product meets business requirements and customer needs. This may include working with product managers to define user stories, and working with customer support teams to resolve issues reported by customers.

Overall, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our software products are of high quality, meet customer needs, and provide an exceptional user experience

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with QA Engineersto develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Experience in project management and QA methodology
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• 2-4 years to experience

Preferences

• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Experience with automated tests(e.g Selenium, Cypress)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
