About the Position: Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center (OCCIC) and Oklahoma Crisis Recovery Unit (OCRU) in Oklahoma City is looking for experienced, compassionate nurses to change lives and come join a highly skilled multi-discipline team of professionals providing care to high risk individuals in a state of the art facility located in the heart of the metro area. The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature. Position is assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services for crisis services. This includes providing nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law.
Job Type/Salary:

  • Full-time position
  • Annual Base Salary Range is $57,000 - $67,000 plus evening, holiday, weekend shift differential and benefits!
  • Total Compensation range is $65,479 to $91,969, depending on the number of covered dependents and qualifications. Compensation range to include base salary and benefits allowance to help you pay for your benefits.
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse I: Associate in nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Registered Nurse II: Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
  • Registered Nurse III: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possession of a valid, permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing

Special requirements: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

About the Facility: The Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center employees a multi-discipline team of professionals who provide care to high risk individuals in a state of the art facility located in the heart of the metro area. In OCCIC’s new appealing location, this up to date facility is a 16 bed crisis unit with an attached 15 chair Urgent Care Center (URC) which acts as the assessment hub for many crisis beds across the state. The URC provides up to 24 hours of crisis intervention and related services for individuals needing behavioral health services.
THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
