Registered Nurse New Graduate (CN I)- LABOR and Delivery Job at Nash UNC Health Care
The Clinical Nurse I is a novice to advanced beginner level practitioner of nursing as defined by Benner, P. (1984). From Novice to Expert. Addison-Wesley Publishing Company. The nurse at this level applies the nursing process and performs routine care with guidance following established nursing procedures. Promotion to Clinical Nurse II is expected at 12 months of nursing practice and is required within 18 months of hire. Provides professional nursing care to patients assigned to a specific Nursing Unit. Provides patient care within the parameters of this assignment of responsibility, according to prescribed, delegated medical regimen and the hospital policies. Incumbents are accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing for practicing nursing within the scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved nursing program.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Current BCLS certification.
