Summary:
Pediatric Consultants is pediatric primary care with office locations in Ashland and Mansfield. We are looking for a compassionate, engaging, excellent CMA with a desire to work with pediatric patients and their families. This position is an important clinical team member.
Responsibilities:
1. Collects and inputs data and patient history into the EHR.
2. Performs hearing and vision screening evaluations.
3. Obtains specimens for testing.
4. Administers vaccines and medications as directed by the licensed provider.
5. Completes health forms.
6. Maintains the clinical and exam areas.
7. Performs procedures as assigned and documents test results in the EHR.
8. Assists with filing and appointment scheduling as needed. 9. Answers basic health care questions. Develops and maintains carinng, positive pateint relationships related to work assignments.
10. Performs other assigned tasks to promote operations and contribute to quality patient care.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Graduate from an accredited medical assistant school or medical assistant training program; certification is required.
3. Knowledge and experience in medical terminology is required.
4. Experience working in a pediatric healthcare environment is preferred.
5. Experience working in Microsoft Office or similar software is required.
6. Experience working in electronic medical record software is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
