Reimbursement Manager
We have been engaged to conduct the search for a Reimbursement Manager, for our client, an integrated healthcare delivery system with a flagship medical center; two rural, critical access hospitals; and an extensive variety of primary and specialty care practices and specialty care practices located in 15 communities in central, western, and mid-coast regions of Maine. They have their offices in south central ME.
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Reimbursement Manager direct multiple programs and departments which include Reimbursement functions, Cost Reports, Net Revenue Budgeting and Payment Strategies. They will work with an outside consulting firm to complete the cost reports.
The starting salary is up to $150k, depending on background and experience.
Our client is open to candidates who would work fully remotely: or hybrid (some time remote and some time on-site). They are anxious to attract the best talent available.
· Drive the fiscal planning of the payments and reimbursements of programs and departments as they support
· Retain constant awareness of system financial health and act to positively respond to all reimbursement changes.
· Provide support and oversight of Reimbursement functions as well as Cost Report and Payer strategies.
· Prepare timely and detailed reports on Cost Reports including mini cost reports monthly or quarterly.
· Responsible for all Cost Reports including the Home Office Cost Report, the Acute Care Hospital Cost Report and 2 Critical Access Cost Reports.
· Maximize return and limit risk on cash and reimbursement strategies by minimizing Accounts Receivables and making suggestions to financially support the organization.
· Work closely with FPA to ensure accurate budget information by provider, company and service line.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
· Minimum of 5 years of financial management in a hospital with the ability to provide assistance, analysis, recommendations for improvement budgeting assistance, and other educational assistance to senior leaders and department directors.
· Five years of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement experience required.
· Five years of experience preparing, filing, and reviewing all Cost Reports including the Home Office Cost Report, the Acute Care Hospital Cost Report and 2 Critical Access Cost Reports.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to plan and perform a wide variety of duties requiring general knowledge of policies and procedures required.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined deadlines required.
· Ability to work independently and take initiative required.
· Ability to evaluate problems and develop viable solutions required.
· Duties may be performed off site as determined and approved by supervisor.
· Requires effective written communication.
· Requires thinking analytically.
