Rental and Inside Sales Coordinator

Woods Machinery is seeking a Rental and Inside Sales Coordinator to join our team at our Garden State Bobcat (Freehold, NJ) location to support our customer base in the New Jersey/New York/Delaware tri-state area.

The primary functions of the Rental & Inside Sales Coordinator are facilitating equipment rentals and assisting with inside sales for the branch. This is accomplished by selling and coordinating rental transactions both over the phone and in person and assisting both walk-in and phone sales customers.

Job Responsibilities:*

  • Handle all incoming phone and walk-in rental inquires and follow process for selling rental equipment;
  • Coordinate rental transactions;
  • Process payment transactions at beginning of rental periods;
  • Ensure rental inspections are being processed by Rental Technician, Yard Coordinator and Driver;
  • Monitor fleet maintenance and ensure fleet is rental ready;
  • Utilize rental ready tags to aid in keeping equipment organized;
  • Work with Service Department to schedule and monitor ongoing fleet repairs not being handled by the Rental Technician;
  • Provide guidance and directives to the Rental Technician;
  • Monitor Rental Technician daily workflow to make sure fleet maintenance is being processed accordingly;
  • Communicate with the Parts Department to follow up on existing parts orders for fleet repairs;
  • Communicate customer and delivery arrivals to Yard Coordinator to ensure proper assistance is provided;
  • Monitor and provide directives for company driver;
  • Coordinate driver’s daily routes and tasks;
  • Actively aid in the accounts receivable process for the Rental Department;
  • Review monthly margin report and work with Branch and General Manager in an effort to improve operational efficiency;
  • Provide basic training to new hired rental employees, technicians and other employees as needed;
  • Provide support for phone-in customers and walk-in customers;
  • Keep abreast of new equipment and provide customers with valued insight to guide them through the rental and purchase process;
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business;
  • Solve all customer inquiries and complaints quickly;
  • Promote in-store sales and merchandising;
  • Maintain a clean and effective counter display and merchandise sales area;
  • Account for all sales related documents when handling customer document signing at time of purchase;
  • Accurately enter and maintain entries in sales CRM(Pipedrive);
  • Communicate effectively with Outside Sales reps regarding pending deals in their territories;
  • Provide accurate quotes to customers for any ongoing sales transaction;
  • Work with Sales Manager to ensure sales process is being adhered to;
  • Act as a liaison for outside sales team to coordinate equipment readiness.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years' experience in equipment industry preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong customer service and salesperson skills
  • Computer skills required
  • Multi-task capabilities
  • Attention to detail, organized and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Pass background and drug screening
