Job Title: Reservationist

Reports to: Front Office Manager

Compensation: $16-18/hour, based on experience

We are looking for a passionate candidate who is willing to spend time making connections with our guests, then guiding them to book the perfect stay.

Job Summary

Our Reservationists get to plan and coordinate vacation experiences and tailor recommendations to help guests book their perfect stay. Reservationists also monitor online bookings and work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests’ expectations are fully met once they arrive at the resort.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Providing excellent, consistent, and personal service to all guests

· Thorough knowledge of property management system

· Ability to use several different software systems for communication, tracking, and reporting

· Answering phone calls and providing personal service and recommendations

· Entering reservations with a close attention to detail and accuracy

· Monitoring online reservations and ensuring consistent formatting

· Ability to understand posted charges and payments and effectively communicate that information to guests with billing inquiries

· Accurately transfer calls and effectively communicate messages internally

· Thorough knowledge of all events and activities available at the resort

· Responding professionally to guest inquiries through email

· Ability to identify service recovery situations and assist with solutions

Requirements

· Professional verbal and written communication skills

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Ability to quickly learn and work with various software programs, including property management system, hotel operations platform, and customer relationship management system

· Ability to accurately and efficiently report information

· Driven personality with desire to learn and progress

· Ability to sit for up to eight hours a day

· Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays

· 2+ years of customer service experience. Experience in a hotel or resort setting is preferred.
