SERVER
- REPORTS TO:
Food and Beverage Director
- PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Greets and serves guests in accordance with The Club at High Hampton standards of food and beverage quality and presentation in a gracious and professional manner
- CLASSIFICATION:
Hourly/Non-exempt
- DEPARTMENT:
Food and Beverage
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves guests as directed per established standards.
- Able to serve guests efficiently, in a timely fashion.
- Able to handle a reasonable workload of tables (5-6).
- Complete all required opening and closing sidework per sidework schedule.
- Execute all proper beverage and wine service.
- Arrive to work well groomed and with a positive professional attitude.
- This position may be scheduled for occasional banquet event or special events outside of your home department during the peak season: spring, summer and fall.
- QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Outgoing personality, with a distinct sense of hospitality preferred.
- Must be capable of greeting members by name and address them as such.
- Must have strong menu knowledge, understand menu items and be able to communicate that information to members and communicate orders to the kitchen as this is imperative to meet the individual and unique needs of our members.
- Able to communicate effectively with managers, staff and other servers.
- Must be able to lift and carry a service tray complete with dishes.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.
- Able to walk and stand through the duration of shift. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop and twist.
- General competency with point of sale system, Jonas experience preferred.
- 2 years food service experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
G. SCHEDULE:
- Food & Beverage operates 6-7 days per week. As needed, Food & Beverage.
Employees must be available for overtime hours.
- SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs job responsibilities according to the company safety and training programs.
- Abide by all policies, procedures and standards as laid out in the Club Handbook.
- Adhere to company safety and sanitation policies and promote cleanliness in the work place.
- Reports safety or hazard concerns to management.
- Reports any on the job injury to management.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
