Job description

Role Summary: Manage the store in order to achieve the store set goals (revenue, profit, inventory) through continuous development of the staff and creative methods to increase sales and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Accountabilities

Performance Measures/Success criteria

  • Consistently lead by example to exceed customers level of expectation in order to achieve goals and increase sales volume

· Increased sales volume

  • Implement and execute client development programs in conjunction with corporate guidelines in order to gain new an repeat business

· Increased relations and contact with clients

  • Defines communicates and consistently exemplifies the organizations values and ethics

· Positive climate in the store

  • Define and ensure implementation of the store’s policies and procedures in line with company directives Support and reinforce Company policies and procedures

· Policies & procedures defined and implemented

· Valuable suggestions for improvement

  • Counsels employees and Assistant Managers as needed in order to resolve or prevent further issues

· Valuable support

  • Set in coordination with retail director sales goals for the store, and set the related action plan and monitor achievements of the objectives

· Sales report

  • Analyze Daily Sales to understand trends and opportunity to strategically build sales and communicate with Corporate regarding stock needs, contests, events and markdowns

· Sales analysis

· New orders set with buyers

· Stocks, events and markdowns optimized

  • Assures sales floor presentation standards and maintenance throughout the day in order to keep an appealing store and increase sales

· Increase in sales

  • Regularly visits competition to maintain an awareness of store performance, visual and merchandise trends and identify top talent

· Knowledge of the competitors and benchmark with store performance

Educational Requirements:

· High School Diploma or Advanced degree
Knowledge, Technical Skills and Experience:
· Retail management experience

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office package

· Uses clear and concise business writing skills.

· Speaks well and uses effective verbal skills

· Knows the competition

· Business Acumen – knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices and trends and information affecting business retail experience

Competencies Required:

· Performance excellence: has the ability to

Set & work towards challenging and achieving sales objectives (KPI’s)

Develop policies and procedures in a logical manner and ensure their implementation

Add value to sales reports by providing suggestions based on analysis

· Coaching and developing: has the ability to

Give subordinates clear guidelines to help them achieving/exceeding objectives

Diagnose needs and accordingly set detailed development plan for subordinates

Regularly meet with team members to review their development progress & recognize efforts & improvements

Budget responsibilities/Time horizon:

· Payroll vs. Sales, Supplies, Petty Cash

Communications:

· Conference calls, e-mails w/operations manager cc’d.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

· Must be able to lift heavy boxes

Availability: Nights, weekend, holidays – minimum 42 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $55,000.00 per year
