The company designs, engineers, and manufactures industry-leading full volumetric modular units for Upper-Midwest clients in a 180,000 SF state-of-the-art facility in Albertville, MN that will open Spring of 2022.

Position Summary:

The REVIT Technician is primarily responsible for the development of architectural related shop and production drawings used in the construction of commercial structures. The primary tool used is Autodesk’s REVIT, requiring a high degree of expertise with the program. Familiarity with State code approvals, structural engineering principles, and material specifications are preferred. As most products will be constructed fully or in part in AVA facilities, the Engineering team will be responsible for clearly communicating the design and confirming specifications are achieved by both internal and external stakeholders. He/she will bring strong CAD and BIM skills including the ability to produce drawings in REVIT.

Primary Responsibilities:

Execute general drafting utilizing REVIT-based designs including conceptual design and presentation, shop drawings, and production drawings.

Assisting with the development of State code approvals (through shop drawings to the Architect of Record), integration of Structural Engineering designs (from a third party) and integration of material specifications into the production drawing package

Follow drafting standards, and department procedures to ensure consistency

Timely completion of designs to support production, and the Engineering schedule

Proper allocation of Engineering resources

Maintain effective document control, including Cloud-based document management and access, as per department standards

Candidate Profile:

Strong Architectural drafting experience required

Strong REVIT skill required; REVIT Certification preferred

Advanced CAD and BIM skills will be an advantage

Experience with off-site construction; Modular, penalizations, fenestration will be an advantage

Entrepreneurial mindset with a “role up your sleeves” attitude, willing to help wherever needed

Quality focused with a strong sense of ownership, personal pride in the performance of self and team and its impact on the organization’s success

Critical thinker with the ability to quickly and correctly solve problems, sometimes with incomplete information
