Scrum Master

Cognizant is looking for a Scrum Master, an individual who Implements agile practices for one team suggested by the coach, and facilitates all interactions that the team has with the Product Owner to gather and prioritize the requirements and review documented requirements as shared by the Product Owner.

Job Location: Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Provide application screen walkthrough to product owners and gather their feedback to address it
  • Participate in Integration Testing, UAT Testing, Defect Triaging, Production Implementation, and Post Production activities
  • Participate & provide Deployment Support and Production Validation of release projects. Work on the emergency issues identified for the projects
  • Execute batch jobs and provide support to other upstream and downstream systems
  • Do estimation and scoping of Project Features, User Stories and Defects
  • Act as a key liaison between our client and our offshore software development team in India

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience and 2+ years of scrum master experience
  • Experience with projects using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience with implementing Agile techniques in a software delivery environment
  • Experience with setting up sprints, running reports, and creating queries
  • Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, and identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk.
  • Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders
  • Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team
  • Ability to support a technical delivery lead in decomposition sessions to determine the next steps for feature development
  • Knowledge of Rally or related tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams for coordination
  • Agile certification is a plus.

The Salary rate for this position is between $91K – 132K, depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
