Senior Analyst - Domestic Tax:

The Sr. Analyst, Domestic Tax will be a member of Univar Solutions’ Corporate Tax Department located at the Corporate Headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois or our office in Bellevue, WA. This position reports directly to the Manager, Global Tax Reporting and will have the option of a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do:

Income Tax Compliance Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of consolidated federal income tax return
• Process state/federal estimated tax payments
• Assist with the preparation of the state income and franchise tax returns
• Support tax department with special projects

Global Income Tax Accounting Responsibilities:

• Assist with coordination and compilation of tax provisions prepared by the regions (U.S, Canada, EMEA, Asia, Latin America, and other foreign jurisdictions)
• Assist with preparation of the global income tax provision (actual and forecast)
• Assist with preparation of worldwide financial footnotes and disclosures
• Assist with providing information to external auditors.
• Document Sarbanes-Oxley processes and procedures and assist with external reviews

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in tax digitalization projects (robotics, Alteryx)
• Manage items on the Tax Notice Log and assist with resolutions
• Other projects as requested

What You'll Need:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience, preferably some in public accounting
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
• CPA license, or CPA eligible
• Master of Taxation or Accounting
• A high degree of competency with Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and continually changing environment
• Experience with tax compliance software (OneSource preferred) and tax research software
• Experience with Alteryx preferred
