UMG’s Analytics & Insights team within the Data, Analytics & Insights group is looking for a Senior Analyst, eCommerce & Marketing Intelligence to help unify data sources, package analyses, and communicate meaningful insights to internal, label, and artist management audiences.
How you’ll CREATE:
  • Serve an instrumental role in the health and success of UMG’s suite of reporting products, from requirement gathering through business adoption
  • Leverage your data-oriented mindset, instincts, and curiosity to identify the meaningful trends/signals from an array of marketing data, including CRM, eCommerce, paid, and social
  • Develop compelling and actionable reports for a variety of different stakeholders, including C-Suite
  • Foster relationships with our marketing, eCommerce, and label teams to encourage more data-driven, strategic decision-making
  • Actively innovate and enhance our suite of tools to maintain a best-in-class service offering
Bring your VIBE:
  • 5+ years of direct experience in marketing, business, or eCommerce analytics
  • High-level proficiency in SQL with proven ability to write complex queries to analyze data
  • High-level proficiency in using and managing BI tool frontend environments (Domo is a big plus)
  • A high-degree of data literacy and comfort finding, reviewing and integrating new datasets to achieve desired business objectives
  • Ability to craft actionable and compelling stories from large/disparate datasets and make complex concepts/analysis easy to understand
  • Experience working with stakeholders to identify/scrutinize business requirements and develop the appropriate solutions
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a critical thinker who values the importance of always putting data into the appropriate context
  • A seasoned team player, accustomed to managing multiple projects with separate clients and deadlines
  • Must love music
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Familiarity with Google BigQuery
    • A background with Agile development/scrum frameworks
    • Consulting experience
