To support this work MHBHC is seeking a dynamic Senior Behavioral Health Program Manager will oversee the development of the clinic and work with others in a clinical team environment to help others move toward recovery. This leadership role with work with the goal of driving growth, uncovering opportunities, identifying access barriers and providing overall awareness to the clinic and services provided. As well providing direct mental health and substance abuse assessments and treatment to individuals who struggle with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Provides clinical and task supervision to a team of Behavioral Health Specialists and Peer Recovery Coaches; advises and assists staff with issues pertaining to clinical services provided in an integrated care setting.
- Knowledge of reentry, probation and parole systems of care including DUI court ordered services and competency restoration.
- Collaborates with clinical and administrative management to facilitate program growth including: building relationships with referral sources, presentations to community members, and other recruitment strategies. This may include specific goals and timelines.
- Outreaches other community agencies.
- Collaborates with peer and clinical teams to improve client recruitment and retention.
- Provides limited clinical services to individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders in the metro Denver area. This includes serving as a backup clinician for team members when there are unforeseen absences or staff is unable to intervene with a client.
- Responsible for simultaneous coordination and supervision of several functions, programs, and projects in various stages of completion.
- Performs quality review of clinical staff services and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Prepares and/or directs the completion of accurate records and reports for various projects and grants.
- Performs data entry and data reporting tasks. Works alongside grants manager to ensure all data and reports are completed and submitted per grant requirements.
- Resolves problems and mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations, determines appropriate solutions, and promotes teamwork. Encourages regular communication and informs staff of relevant clinical issues and their impact on the organization.
- Collaborates with staff to create personal development plans, documents performance, and provides performance feedback and evaluation.
- Documents causes for disciplinary action. Responds to formal and informal employee grievances.
- Program Manager has personal accountability for carrying out all necessary functions and is expected to resolve problems that arise in the normal course of the work. Completed documentation is generally reviewed for soundness of judgment, conclusion, adequacy, and conformance to policy.
- May be asked to drive company van to transport clients and their families.
- Provide services and manage time in order to meet goals within established timeframes.
- Participate in program, agency, and external meetings and trainings.
- Respond to crisis and emergency calls.
- Act with utmost professionalism, responding promptly and respectfully to all inquiries, suggestions, requests, and complaints in accordance with agency policy.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with participants, observing all confidentiality and HIPAA protocols.
- Maintain excellent written records and required statistical forms, as well as administrative paperwork such as time sheets, mileage sheets, expense reports, and disbursement requests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Any one position may not include all of the duties listed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required: Master’s Degree in counseling or a related field with a current Colorado Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LAC. CAC III with supervision experience may be considered.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a clinical setting and two years in clinical supervision.
- Experience with program development strongly encouraged.
Requirements:
Possession of a valid driver’s license at time of application.
CPR/ First Aid certification within 3 months of hire.
Ability to pass background check with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Ability to pass background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.
