Revolution Industrial is currently seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with a background in Underground Wet Utlity Construction. The ideal canididate must have exerience as an SR Estimator with a Civil Engineering background. The SR Estimator will provides detailed estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects.

Our main shop is located at 5858 W Riggs Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. This position is in the field, working at different job sites in Arizona (Must be willing to travel). Feel free to submit your resume to schedule an interview (Monday – Friday).

Duties & Responsibilities: The SR Civil Estimator/ Wet Utility Estimator role is a crucial part of the team, working closely with superintendents, project managers, estimators, and field leadership to create, plan, schedule, monitor and control project activities. The Estimator would be collaborating with project managers, duperintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.

  • Analyzes blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Assesses cost effectiveness of projects and tracks actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
  • Confers with engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Reviews material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
  • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
  • May specialize according to particular service performed, type or product manufactured, or phase of work involved, such as tools and fixture costs, production costs, construction costs, or material costs.
  • Participates in weekly Management staff meetings.
  • Visits project sites prior to bid and during construction.
  • Develops long-term plans and programs to evaluate work accomplishments.
  • Participates in marketing Procore services with owners, developers, and other general contractors.
  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures. Communicates and encourages all applicable safety policies and procedures with employees. Enforces all applicable safety policies and procedures with employees.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Understanding of Plans, Specifications, and MAG

  • Surveying (Stakes, Grade, and Alignment)
  • Industry Terminology
  • Experience with Potable & Reclaimed Water: HDPE, C900, Ductile Iron, Copper Services, PEX Services
  • Experience with Sanitary Sewer: HDPE, SDR, Cast-in-Place Manholes, Precast Manholes
  • Experience with Storm Drain: Corrugated HDPE, CMR, RGRCP, Junction Structures

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction and/or equivalent.
  • 4-5 years of Experience as an Cost Estimator in an Industrial Environment.
  • 2-3 years of Project Management/Project Coordinator experience.
  • Knowledge of various construction industry markets.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction practices, methods, trends, and crew data.
  • Advanced knowledge and specific expertise in construction materials, means, and methods.
  • Ability to independently apply advanced analysis techniques, demonstrate experience in oversight of construction projects.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a threat of harm to self or others.
