What You Will Achieve
The Anticounterfeit group supports Global Security by providing forensic testing and technical consulting. The role of Senior Manager incorporates the leadership, management and oversight of analytical testing, as well as analytical development and fit-of-purpose validation of methods suitable for the authentication of pharmaceutical products. Through collaboration with Global Security, you will lead a team that is responsible for providing forensic testing of Pfizer products with the goal of protecting our patients, reputation, and business interests. Your leadership will help to expand the analytical capabilities of the team and ensure a robust Laboratory operation including the recommendations for long-term capability needs and techniques for remote testing and training of colleagues.
As the Senior Manager of the Anticounterfeit laboratories, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling the laboratory team to deliver results to our customers. You will be responsible for providing product intelligence and data trends with respect to counterfeit medicines, through establishing and growing strategic relationships across functions, with a view to collaborating on improvement opportunities for both laboratory and global anti-counterfeit awareness.
As Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives and prioritization for multiple projects in your department. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your department. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate instituting knowledge-sharing practices in your team and with stake-holders. You will manage operational activities that support the laboratory-based goals of Global Security and set the direction for its current and future state. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance within the laboratories.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Provide Leadership and support to the laboratory functions in their application of local and corporate Quality and EHS standards to ensure Safe, Compliant, and Effective Laboratory Operations
  • Lead Change through the implementation of new analytical technologies, advancing the application of ‘in-field’ and remote digital tools across laboratories in line with Global Security future strategies
  • Oversee the management of the training, motivation and talent development of all Laboratory Operations to ensure an agile and flexible team, underpinned by a culture of coaching
  • Ensure all Corporate Policies, SOPs, and other GxP documentation are continuously maintained in a compliant and inspection-ready manner
  • Ensure all forensic laboratory systems supporting the operation are continuously maintained in a compliant and inspection-ready manner
  • Ensure the timely release of results to Global Security and Law Enforcement
  • Ensure standardized practices and systems across all functional areas and drive the implementation of Operational Excellence best practices and tools in support of an efficient forensic testing operation
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Lead the forensic laboratory for Board of Health, Pfizer RQA, Internal QA and customer Inspections and tours
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with Global Security, Federal & Local Law Enforcement and Manufacturing site leaders at other Pfizer sites as relevant

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Sciences
  • 7+ years of work experience in forensic examination of pharmaceutical products involved in anti-counterfeit investigations
  • 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and training of colleagues in forensic techniques
  • Experience collaborating/working with Site Leadership, Managers, Colleagues, QA colleagues, Global Security, Governmental & Local Law Enforcement Agencies, etc
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
Nice-to-Have
  • Chemistry field of study preferred
  • A thorough knowledge of GxPs for pharmaceutical testing (including ICH and industry standards)
