Spartronics is seeking a Site Director to lead the Operations of our Williamsport, PA location. This location is the largest facility for our Aerospace & Defense customers. The Site Director will report to our Global VP of Operations.

Basic Purpose of Position: Directs site's overall operations to include Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, and Human Resources. This position is responsible for driving all operations towards meeting business objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs across all departments' processes.
  • Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain site capacity and processes.
  • Ensures site performance, volume and quality goals are met by developing and driving the right Operational Excellence methods.
  • Benchmarks, tracks, and analyzes annual performance metrics and trends against annual performance metrics and trends against budget and site performance to demonstrate continuous improvement and progress against strategic objectives.
  • Communicates on a consistent basis with executives and site managers to establish and execute integrated initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Ensures department goals, objectives, and policy decisions are in line with the organization’s strategy. Effectively communicates these, initiates corrective measures, provides recognition moments.
  • Obtain extensive knowledge of department processes and performance though visible floor presence and engagement with associates at all levels.
  • Recruits, develops, and retains a high performing and high achieving team.
  • Implements standard work, executes objectives, holds team accountable for optimal performance.
  • In partnership with site leadership, will plan and direct improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or other applicable field or additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • 5+ years of Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Delivers messages in a clear, compelling and concise manner.

Actively listens and checks for understanding.
Adjusts content and style to meet the needs of stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage complexity. Asks the right questions to accurately analyze situations.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
