What this role is all about:

We are looking for a Staff Accountant in Hull, IA.

• Prepare month end journal entries as assigned.
• Prepare and balance the Quantity Analysis.
• Monthly and Year-End Inventory Reconciliation.
• Prepare Monthly Tactical Plan Matrix in coordination with the Plant Controller.
• Prepare Monthly Management Summary for Plant Controller review.
• Prepare Monthly Scorecard for Plant Controller review.
• Prepare Monthly Equipment Repair GL Detail Report.
• Prepare Monthly Inventory Account Reconciliations.
• Assist Plant Controller with expense variance reporting and development of new reporting.
• Prepare additional month end reports as assigned in the monthly closing schedule.
• Distribute daily invoices to distribution coordinators to receive approval for corporate office to send them to the customers.
• Monitor and resolve AR issues related to short pays and credit memos.
• Create AR Adjustment Forms as needed and give to Accounting Specialist to generate manual invoice or credit after obtaining approval from the Plant Controller.

What you need:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in accounting or related field required.
• Knowledge of general accounting application and theory required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experienced may be considered.
• ERP system experience preferred.

Our Hull, IA, plant is home to approximately 180 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, parmesan, romano, cheddar, gouda, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams.
