STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job at Raynor Manufacturing Co
Position Summary / Essential Functions:
- Support preparation and distribution of the monthly financial statements
- Review and analyze financial statements monthly with managers
- Maintain and monitor financial and/or management metrics
- Prepare monthly, standard, and recurring journal entries
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger. Prepare and review account reconciliations and accruals
- Assist with the annual budget preparation
- Assist with inter-company analysis and reconciliations
- Participate in the year-end close and help facilitate the external audit
- Perform daily cash management activities
- Prepare corporate and governmental reports as required
Knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, relevant work experience, licenses, certifications, physical requirements, or screening examinations required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and a willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards, conventions and principles
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
- Experience with JDE software is desired but not required
- Proficient in creating and maintaining financial spreadsheets
- Must be a team player and willing to interact with other departments
Experience
Required- 1 - 3 years: 1-3 years Accounting experience
Education
Required- Associates or better in Accounting or related field
