Robert Half is on the look-out for an organized individual with accounting chops to join a growing organization in the long-term contract / contract / temporary to permanent role of Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will hold responsibility over many aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and work alongside our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities in this role

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
• Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Maintain monthly payment schedules
• Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
• Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
• Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
• Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
• Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
• Foundational knowledge in Communication Skills
• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
• Proven knowledge of intercompany
• Month end closings experience highly desired
• Strong familiarity with reconciliations
• Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
• Strong attention to detail
• Competent with spreadsheets and databases
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Experience with ERP systems
• Recent and relevant accounting experience
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
