Young Life in Lake Orion launched a few years ago, and we currently have a thriving high school ministry led by a volunteer leadership team. Our vision is to reach high school and middle school students in our community with the Gospel.

We need a Christian leader with a high sense of drive and missional mindset. We need a candidate who possesses the perseverance to inspire, motivate and lead volunteers and students in the ministry. We are looking for someone who has a high capacity for relationships, multiple tasks and developing systems/structures for healthy ministry.

Responsibilities:

• Spiritual Development – You will be a spiritual leader responsible for discipling and developing students, leaders and adults.
• Leadership Development – You will recruit, develop, train and support teams of volunteers to serve as leaders and committee members.
• Resource Development/Fundraising – You will maintain and build on the existing support base with a vision for financial sustainability and growth.
• Direct Ministry – You will be a minister of the Gospel and work directly with students.
• Teamwork and Community Engagement – You will work with the local committee to build community connections and support the overall organization of the area.
• Learning and Growth – You will have a supervisor and organization that values your learning and growth.

Qualifications:

• Deep, abiding faith in Jesus Christ and love for people.
• Passion and calling for communicating the love of Christ.
• Clear understanding of discipleship.
• Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative, vision and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong leadership and relational skills.
• Ability to manage various projects and schedules with attention to details.
• Confidence to build relationships with investors and corporate sponsors.
• Willing to reside in or near the community where ministry is being done.
