Job Description
Position Overview
As an Engineer with Invenergy, you support our Global Sourcing Department on several key functions of the company. This position will be based at our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois but up to 25% Travel to projects is expected.
Responsibilities

Coordinate with external and internal engineering, construction, and architectural teams through daily and weekly meetings.

Carry out the management and review of technical documents including specifications and drawings related to renewable energy generation, energy storage, and industrial facilities

Identify project challenges and assist project managers with development and execution of subsequent management strategies

Develop presentations and meeting agenda’s for project and departmental meetings
-
Track department key performance indicators and provide recommendations to improve metrics where applicable
-
Work with cross functional groups to gather and document process/system improvement requirements

Develop and implement process and system improvements to increase efficiency and eliminate errors
-
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Understand and drive performance, with visibility to executive leadership which provides upward mobility opportunities in our fast-paced and growing organization
Required Skills
-
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; industrial, mechanical, or electrical preferred
-
Excellent communication skills, position will require working fluency in English and in Mandarin
-
Familiarity with technical documents including engineering drawings and specifications
-
Proficient in all MS Office software especially Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint.

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve problems is a must.

Professional and team oriented

Able to prioritize assignments, multi-task, and adapt as necessary.

Strong initiative and focused on process improvement.

Ability to work in amorphous environment

Desire and aptitude to learn and understand Construction and the Energy/ Utilities Industry
Preferred Skills

Autocard experience is a plus

Fluent in Mandarin
