Job Title: State Support Team Consultant with and Emphasis on Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
Description: Applications are now being accepted for a State Support Team Consultant with an Emphasis on Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS). The Region 10 State Support Team (SST 10) is looking for a knowledgeable, skilled, and high-energy consultant with an emphasis on Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) to join our full-time staff. The ideal candidate will hold a core belief of equity in access to educational programming and services for all students, will have a documented history of working in as a district/building PBIS lead, and can promote collaborative leadership and collegial relationships among all of the districts in our six-county region.
Team members operate in a fast-paced environment where we encourage all of our staff to be creative, collaborative, and self-motivated. SST10 needs a consultant who can fit well in our environment. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel.
Only candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications will be considered:
Candidates must meet criteria listed for the SST Consultant Implementation Specialist as well as the following. See attached job description for details.
- Three to five years of successful classroom teaching and special education administration experience; appropriate ODE license ( special education administration, intervention specialist, or related services)
- Extensive knowledge and skills of the Ohio PBIS framework.
- Evidence of successfully leading and implementation of the PBIS work at the district or building level.
- Demonstrated behavior expertise either through previous work experience or training.
Assignment: Montgomery County Regional Center
Full Time: 200 days
