The Pocahontas School District is seeking a superintendent to lead a district of 2,050+ students and approximately 275 staff members. The district is seeking a candidate with the following attributes:

- Proven ability to implement a positive vision for the future success of all students, faculty and staff
- Be approachable, highly visible and willing to make a commitment and investment in the community
- Motivator who will support and empower educators to creatively engage in problem solving, progressive improvement, and visionary thinking
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Command of Arkansas State Education Standards and Education Law
- Skilled and knowledgeable in sound fiscal practices
- Experience with digital technology, social media and their impact on public education
The salary & benefits for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting Board criteria.
