Do you have experience in administrative support? Our client in Charlottesville, VA is currently seeking a Payroll Tax Support Assistant to assist their Payroll Tax department. This will be a temp-to-hire opportunity. Apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior
- Maintain various tax tracking logs
- Receive, track, and distribute mail timely for tax deadlines
- Scan SODs, tax documents, notices, etc and perform any research necessary
- Complete tax location code requests from the business units
- Assist with preparing and maintaining departmental procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MUST be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
- Detail-orientated and meticulous accuracy
- Demonstrates good customer service skills
- Successful working in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within strict time deadlines
- Demonstrates willingness to assume additional tax responsibilities
Preferred:
- Minimum of two years of progressive experience in general or tax accounting and concepts
- Peoplesoft payroll and tax experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $17-$19/hour depending on experience
