Temporary Registered Nurse - 6 month - CPSU Job at Nash UNC Health Care
The Temporary Registerd Nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of nursing as defined by Benner, P. (1984). From Novice to Expert. Addison-Wesley Publishing Company. The nurse at this level provides nursing care to the general unit population with minimal guidance, and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care. Provides professional nursing care to patients assigned to a specific Nursing Unit according to prescribed, delegated medical regimens, and the hospital policies. Incumbents are accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing for practicing nursing within the scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
- 2 years of RN experience.
- NON-Exempt
- Minimum of 12-month commitment.
- Minimum of 3 12-hour shifts weekly including EOW
- Shift to be determined at the time of interview.
- CAN NOT BE A PREVIOUS NASH UNC EMPLOYEE WITHIN 6-MONTHS OF HIRE DATE.
Location: Nash UNC Health Care · NGH 5NSEW CPSU
Schedule: Full Time, Nights, 7:00pm-7:00am
