What you'll do:
Reporting to the OCTO Operations Lead, you will help create and maintain a first class onboarding experience for all new team members during our current hiring ramp. Working closely with hiring managers both locally and globally, you will be responsible for ensuring their new hires have everything needed to be set up for success from their first day working with HPE.
This will be a mostly office based role, to facilitate business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Connect with new hires before start date, maintaining excitement about their joining and ensuring timely laptop delivery
  • Work with hiring managers to align an onboarding buddy/mentor form the existing team from day 1
  • Direct the new team member to onboarding collateral, add to PDLs (People Directory Lists) & Slack channels, and announce their joining
  • Manage our MacBook inventory and allocation, assist with first day setup by liaising with IT if needed
  • Connect with security to provide ID badge & site access
  • Meet F2F or remotely with new hires to orientate them and make introductions to team members
  • Assist with ordering relevant home office set up equipment
  • Capture feedback for improvement in the experience, future training needs
  • Document best practices for new hire experience

Education and Experience Required:
  • Typically 1-2 years general administrative experience, or equivalent combination of experience and college level education

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Empathy, reliability, enthusiasm and energy to make new team member onboarding a seamless and enjoyable experience
  • Self-starter and problem solver with the ability to multi-task and a 'can do' attitude
  • Establish and maintain relationships with peers in multiple functions
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
