About the Vice President of Strategic Accounts – Google:
The Vice President of Strategic Accounts is responsible for developing client relationship management strategies, establishing strong client relationships across many client verticals and segments, and proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs.
With broad experience working in or with clients in an outsourced service environment, the selected candidate will possess extensive sales and client management experience in a related industry and the ability to generate new business opportunities as a result . Additionally, a customer-oriented approach with sales and contract management expertise will lead to increased profitability and retention of one of MarketStar’s largest clients.
The Vice President of Strategic Accounts is responsible for developing client relationship management strategies, establishing strong client relationships across many client verticals and segments, and proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs.
With broad experience working in or with clients in an outsourced service environment, the selected candidate will possess extensive sales and client management experience in a related industry and the ability to generate new business opportunities as a result . Additionally, a customer-oriented approach with sales and contract management expertise will lead to increased profitability and retention of one of MarketStar’s largest clients.
Location: Remote - US
What will you do?
- Developing and implementing client relationship management strategies
- Communicating with key clients to monitor client expectations and satisfaction
- Identifying new business leads and contacting prospective key clients to promote products and services
- Establishing efficient communication channels and liaising between key clients and internal departments
- Recommending and implementing improvements to the management of key client relationships
- Handling client queries and finding innovative solutions for complex problems
- Monitoring sales performance metrics and facilitating timely interventions
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
- Proactively leads an internally integrated and client-connected strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. This role does not own service delivery but helps coordinate across the organization
- Work to align global delivery teams relative to pricing process, nomenclature, etc
- Builds relationships with and is the key liaison with multiple client procurement and business leaders
- Travel up to 30%, as needed, to support business objectives
Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 or more years in client facing leadership roles with high-level interface with management and procurement or sourcing engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or closely related business field or an equivalent combination of professional, directly related experience and directly related education; MBA preferred
- Experience managing large, multi-faceted client relationships spanning various products and services
- Proven thought leader in outsourced service offerings, go-to-market and sales acceleration related fields
- Prior experience in outsourced sales, service, or tech support services
- Strong understanding of the nature of maintaining close communication paths with clients
- Proven ability to successfully communicate at a high level, with precision and accuracy in detail
- Demonstrated track record of maintaining and growing client relationships over time
- Experience learning and articulating the value of a breadth of services and current business results for one or more large clients in a related industry
- Experience in leading or working closely with global and geographically dispersed sales organizations
- Proven characteristics of a motivated, self-driven leader who leads by example in the organization
- Contract negotiation experience with ability to set performance and execution expectations with clients
- Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to persuasively present and communicate
- Excellent work ethic, leadership skills, interpersonal communication, and organizational skill
