Warehouse/ Truck Driver - CDL Class A or B

Distributor Service, Inc. is an industrial distributor wholesaler of decorative hardwood plywood, hardwood lumber, thermally fused melamine, particleboard, medium-density fiberboard, high-pressure laminate, wood finishes and stains, solid surfaces, and other professional woodworking supplies. These products are distributed to cabinetmakers, millwork casework wood shops, Institutional Case Goods, architectural designers, and other professional woodworkers.

DSI has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Associte/ CDL Truck Driver, Class A or B License who wishes to grow within a dynamic, growing organization.

Individual must have a good driving record with a Class A or B Truck Drivers License.

Haz Mat Certification helpful. Additional skills and experience can lead to a higher hourly wage

Responsibilities & Duties

80% Warehouse

• Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up.
• Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped off material and entering items into system
• Restocking and verifying inventory in bins and maintaining a healthy warehouse environment

20% CDL Driver

• Following DOT Regulations - e.x. Pre/Post Trip Inspections
• Correctly securing loads and transporting them to pre-existing customers
• Follow deliveries according to the route schedule and make deliveries on time
• Off-loading product and receiving a signed copy of the manifest from customers

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL Truck Drivers License
• Haz-Mat Endorsement helpful
• Knowledge of Pre/Post Trip Inspections
• Ability to Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Some Computer Skills
• Load and Unload Truck
• Excellent Driving Record
• Proven warehouse, and forklift experience (minimum 1 year)
• Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device and computer tools
• Must be able to lift 50-100lbs and exert 50 – 60lbs of vertical force to compress poles
• Understand and be able to use technology to access documents, email, etc.
• Excellent Customer Service skills
