Job Description

We are looking for an energetic team player that pays attention to details and is ready to work. You should be comfortable using computer applications on desktop and mobile platforms. Good communication skills are important for interaction with both customers and others within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working in warehousing and shipping, managing forklift and jockey drivers. Experience shipping export paper is a plus. Our operation focuses on local truckload and container drayage. This is a full-time position and may involve working at one or more of our Savannah area facilities.

Duties include:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a 10 person team
• Team to include 1 lead, 6 lift operators, 2 verifiers, 1 clerk
• Monitor team members to promote a culture of safety

• Coordinate inspection, maintenance, of fleet vehicles. Report repairs needed to operation team to correct

• Direct activities to maintain efficiency, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Team will be unloading inbound dry van trailers and containerizing paper rolls for export.

Requirements

• Background in Management in an industrial production environment

• Some previous experience in lift truck or equipment maintenance
• Forklift Experience ( Roll clamp preferred )

• Shift - 7:00AM - 4:30PM
• Monday to Friday

• Ability to have flexible hours as needed
• Reliable Method of Transportation

• High School degree or equivalent ( College a plus )

• Goal Oriented

• Strong at multitasking

• Team motivated - not individually

The following skills would likely help the ideal candidate (not required)

• Experience in the import / export business

• Experience in the Paper industry

• Experience with maintenance of Lift Trucks

• College Degree

Manager Benefits:

• $52,000 - $60,000 base salary depending on experience
• Paid Time off
