Come and work at Chestnut Restaurant located in Downtown Asheville. Our palette is best described as Southern American with a variety of ethnic twists. Our menu changes monthly and features a wide range of local and seasonal produce and proteins. Open 7 days a week for dinner and soon to be open for Brunch on the weekends.

Base rate of $8/hour + tips (average tips are $35/hour)

General responsibilities for the bartender:

• Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Knowledge of classic cocktails
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and/or preferences and make recommendations
• Cocktail building
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage health codes

Qualifications:

• A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor.
• Must have knowledge of everyday, daily, drinks
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
