Bender Lumber has a CDL position open at our Paoli, IN location.

Driver will deliver building materials throughout Central & Southern Indiana. Bender Lumber's Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering merchandise to professional contractors, commercial builders, municipal, industrial, and do-it-yourselfers. This position is vital for making sure that all deliveries are made timely and complete and ensuring the customer's satisfaction. Delivery Drivers will assist with building loads and loading customers in the lumberyard when not making deliveries. This position reports to the Store Manager(s).

NOTE: This position is NOT an over-the-road, no over-night, not a semi hauler; our drivers are home every night and receive competitive pay and benefits! Ability to work some Saturdays will be expected.

• Current CDL license required, Flatbed & Boom Truck Experience preferred.
• Previous delivery experience and an acceptable driving record (Subject to completion of a driving background check and CDL / DOT requirement).
• Demonstrated ability to interact positively with customers
• Ability to complete independent work assignments efficiently
• 21 years of age or older
• 12 months of verifiable driving experience (or 3 months if they've completed driving school), preferably within the last 3 years.
• 2 or fewer moving violations in the last 3 years; No major/serious violations in the last 5 years including leaving the scene of an accident; speeding violations 15 mph over the speed limit, reckless/careless driving, etc; 3 or fewer accidents in the last 5 years.
• No more than 1 DOT reportable accident in the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years
• No felonies within the last 7 years (exceptions can be made depending on the felony)
• Must be physically capable of safely performing the functions of the job
