Steelite International is seeking a Foreign Trade Zone Accounting Clerk to join the Steelite family.

***Due to growth, Steelite Global Headquarters will relocate from New Castle, PA to Downtown Youngstown, OH. Position will start in New Castle and will relocate to Youngstown.***

What will I do as a Foreign Trade Zone Accounting Clerk?

The Foreign Trade Zone Accounting Clerk will accurately record and post transactions though software so as to minimize/eliminate the risk of any potential liability that may be imposed on the company by US Customs for failure to comply with their rules.

• Verify and receive product into the Foreign Trade Zone on a timely basis as allowed by US Customs rules.
• Verify and record removal of product out of the zone on a timely basis as allowed by US Customs rules, and submit duty liability due to US Customs for payment
• Prepare documentation regarding withdrawals out of the zone going out of the country duty free.
• Prepare and send weekly estimates to US Customs
• Reconcile completed shipping manifest ensuring that all items and quantities received in Great Plains have been recorded in EZFTZ software
• Prepare and update monthly in-transit schedule and duty deferred schedule needed for month end close.
• Ensure all documents received from vendors agree with shipping documents from forwarder/steamship lines
• Verify contents of Manifest file is complete and includes all documentation required by US Customs A1A checklist
• Review and update HTS Codes

What are the qualifications for this position?

• Two- or Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to process high volumes of information
• Highly organized and detailed oriented
• Proficient mathematical skill
