Full-time, EPIC Credentialed Trainer – ClinDoc Job at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital
JOB SUMMARY:
The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for conducting Epic end user training both in person and/or virtual, in assigned applications, with primary responsibility for the design and development of the training with Instructional Designers, Operational and IT management. They are responsible for quality control, including administering proficiency assessments, class evaluations, tip sheets, and other communications regarding updates and changes.
WORK PERFORMED:
- Provide end user training as scheduled for new hires in departments as needed.
- Assist in modifying and validating curriculum, content, and materials, in partnership with the Montefiore Health System Training team, to meet the needs of end users.
- Continued service with the Epic Project Team to assist with upgrades, testing, and continued education of employees.
- Arrives early and distributes participant materials for each user and checks that equipment is in proper working order for the class being taught.
- Distributes, conducts, scores, collects, and records proficiency assessment from each participant in order to allow system access as required by the Health System.
- Distributes and collects written evaluations regarding the classroom experience as required by the Health System
- Participates in improvement discussions with the operational and training design teams
- Participates in GoLive support, being deployed as needed to provide in person support, including off hour support
- Escalates issues, parking lot items, and needs to the appropriate parties within the training team
- Ability to attend 4-6 week credentialing program to obtain additional module credentials as required or requested for the needs of the hospital.
- Willingness to travel to assist other member hospitals with training needs in times of coverage or GoLive support
- Ability to participate in the OnCall needs of the department and resolution of Service Desk tickets as needed.
- Practices Standard Precautions. Follows regulations, policies and guidelines on the prevention of infections; does not eat or drink in patient care areas.
- Maintains confidentiality of information; abides by HIPAA regulations.
- Maintains a professional image and follows Hospital’s policy on uniforms; consistently wears hospital ID.
- Demonstrates reliable, on-time attendance, which is an essential function of all jobs at Burke.
- Completes mandatory annual learning (Learning Harbor) within deadline.
- Personally adheres to Burke C.A.R.E.S. philosophy by demonstrating compassion, accountability, respect and exceeding expectations through service excellence.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Credential in ClinDoc a must; ADT/Prelude, Cadence, Front Desk a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in facilitating learning in the assigned Epic application before a panel of evaluators for new module certifications.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with effective organizational skills
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
- Demonstrated experience in presenting scripted training materials to large and small groups, as well as public speaking.
- Ability to listen attentively to ensure the intended message has been accurately received
- Ability and willingness to learn new software systems and participate in other IT training needs
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and managers, keeping direct manager informed of status and changes that relate to activities and initiatives
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft products.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $76,300.00 per year
