About the Opportunity
Reporting to an IMIT/OPOR Manager, the IMIT/OPOR Lead has the responsibility of managing day to day activities of the Team and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for the associated workflows and technical use of systems in the relevant care areas for the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA).
Demonstrating leadership behaviors and capabilities consistent with industry best practice, this position will be responsible for providing oversight and escalation assistance to a team of analysts in the provision of 24x7 support of systems in use throughout Nova Scotia. As part of support activities, maintaining a strong relationship with vendors is a necessary component of this role. The Team Lead will also collaborate with stakeholders and clinicians to ensure projects are delivered within budget, to project milestone dates and meeting the objectives of scope.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Undergraduate degree in computer science information systems or health related field, consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ of experience in clinical applications implementation, previous lead experience preferred
- Knowledge and skills in the areas of IM/IT tools, applications and systems of support
- Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
- Experience supporting applications, systems and related services in a complex organizational environment considered an asset
- Proficient knowledge of health care industry required; familiarity with clinical and administrative hospital functions and departments preferred
- Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Visio and MS Power-Point
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
- Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
- Ability to conceptualize, plan, organize, coordinate and manage the work of a major program or function within the department
- Ability to lead and direct software upgrades
- Strong communication skills - written and oral and the ability to present in large groups
- Ability to demonstrate project management, customer service and support skills, and ability to escalate and contribute to resolving issues accordingly
- Competencies in other languages and asset, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives
$38.79 - $48.48 Hourly
