Description
Our IRACS program works directly with incarcerated individuals whose criminal justice involvement is impacted by substance use or mental health issues. We are 1 of 5 organizations in the state of Indiana chosen to start this innovative approach to reentry, and show its effectiveness for change! THIS POSITION IS IN BLACKFORD COUNTY.
As an IRACS Recovery Coach, you would provide participants assessments on recovery and safety needs, resource navigation, peer support, transitional planning, and also help in identifying new ways to navigate legal, institutional, and recovery support needs for institutionalized individuals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in recovery field or related bachelor's degree required
- Ability to work in correctional facilities with incarcerated individuals
- Reliable vehicle to travel to and/or transport participants
- Ability to work with diverse populations while maintaining cultural humility
- Strong interpersonal skills
