K-10 Language Arts Tutors Part - Time (evenings)

A Plus Tutor USA is an elite tutoring company in the Raleigh-Durham area. We provide rigorous tutoring services for students from grades K–12th in math, language and reading. We also provide thorough preparation for End-of-Grade tests. SAT/ACT exam preparation is arguably our most popular service for high school students. More than 95% of our students develop stronger skills, increased confidence in their tutored subject areas, and produce significantly improved grades. Our core focus is to be an extension of the classroom experience, tutoring students to help them achieve consistent academic success.

*Teaching environment is completely equipped and aligned with safety and hygiene regulations against COVID-19.

Requirements to tutor:

• Experience in teaching Language Arts.
• Optional: Teaching license in the subject and/or grade in which you are applying
• Retired teacher will also be considered
• Live within 20 mile radius of the tutoring center with reliable transportation
• Undergo background check, in accordance with American law/regulations
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must perform tutoring sessions in-person (at one location only)

Job Duties include:

• Teach group of two students or individual one-on-one sessions
• Teacher is responsible to teach English reading, grammar and writing skills
• Tutors will facilitate instructional lessons using the A Plus Tutor USA curriculum
• Implement study techniques for quiz and test preparation to improve grades
• Teacher is provided with requisite resources to facilitate students' learning.
• Tutor will take ownership for student academic progress, show an active interest in student achievement and offer constructive feedback
