Place: Shapiro Metal Supply – Mark Twain Industrial Park – North St. Louis

Starting Pay: $18 / hour or more , PLUS weekly attendance bonus up to $75 per week

Shift: M-F 8-4, Sat 9-1 – Full-time only

Shapiro Metal Supply is a 5th generation family-owned company established in 1904. In this position no two days are ever exactly the same. We have hundreds of metal products all with thousands of uses and learning about these products can be both challenging and exciting. There are also other challenges that can be associated with this job that may push you to accomplish and understand things that you have not previously. In addition, you are almost guaranteed to become physically stronger. We have many types of machinery and equipment that can be fun to use as well. If you were to ask the majority of people who work here, they would say that they like their job, the people they work with and the management. Many of our current employees have experience with: Assembly Lines, Construction Labor, Installation, Hand Tools, Painting, Pallet Jack, and RF Scanners.

We also have special opportunities for those who have experience with: Carpentry, Driving, Electricity, Forklift Operation, Hand Tools, Handyman Repairs, Inventory Management, Mechanics, Power Tools, Reach Trucks, and Welding

Candidates must have good Communication skills and experience with Customer Service. Candidates must also be able to perform division and work with fractions.

- Willing to go home dirty

- Able to withstand seasonal temperatures for 8 hours

- Able to intermittently lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs and stand for 8 hours

- Able to safely bend, twist, kneel, crawl, and climb a ladder
