Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a self-starting and team-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support electro-mechanical hardware assembly at the Lufkin, TX facility. In this role, the engineer will provide technical guidance and support to production operations to facilitate production performance to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Duties include development and management of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and tooling for assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies. This role will conduct technical analysis of product modifications and enhancements in accordance with engineering requirements and investigate and identify root cause for all defects related to the product and implement corrective action. The engineer will work with Quality, Engineering, and shop floor personnel to continuously improve the process through recommended design changes or improved automated processing equipment. Candidate must be able to support up to 10% overtime annually as required.

Lufkin Operations facility was established in 1995 and became an integral part of the Lockheed Martin family in 1997. Its approximately 300+ employees perform circuit card assembly, wire harness assembly and final assembly, integration and testing for several missile programs. Lufkin is the regional hub of East Texas, which includes 12 surrounding counties. It is best known for its vast pine tree forests that stretch for miles and the lakes and other waterways that provide great fishing and recreational activities. Local residents have an easy commute to and from Lufkin and have access to larger cities such as Dallas, Houston and Shreveport, LA. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Desired Skills:
Internship in manufacturing environment

Good communication skills and the ability to work in team environment

Ability to provide engineering solutions to medium complexity problems

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
