Position Overview: The Night Dispatcher will be part of a growing team that is focused on driving the long-term growth of our business. You will work closely with fellow team members and interface directly with customers and drivers to ensure timely delivery according to contract requirements.

Schedules: 5:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.; 4 days on, 4 days off rotation - 1 hour lunch

Job Duties:

• Ensure daily on time coordination, assignment and performance of pick-up and delivery of loads
• Ensure satisfactory service to our only customer, the United States Postal Service
• Engaging in effective communication with terminal/region drivers and USPS Officials
• Manage computer dispatch systems and maintain customer relationships in dispatch
• Ensure drivers compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
• Complete daily reporting and recordkeeping of dispatch activities
• Facilitate all over the road breakdowns, accidents, weather delays and route exceptions

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year transportation or dispatching experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to document process, research and resolve issues
• Proven skills in verbal/written communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
