We are seeking a Northeast Regional Business Development Manager to manage the product promotion, Design-In and Design Win activities to ensure maximum market penetration to meet or exceed business objectives and enhancing the stature of Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) as an AKM Semiconductor, Inc. (AKMS)'s employee.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide quality leadership and training for AKM's (sales Reps and Distribution) and external customers in all assigned tasks, while always upholding AKM's values, inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  • Drive new business opportunities at the strategic and tactical level.
  • Establishes an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
  • Prioritize effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a full business pipeline of AKM's prospective regional clients.
  • Provide timely reporting of pipeline, account and territory management activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in assigned territory.
  • Work closely with other AKMS employees responsible for Business Development, Marketing, and Applications Engineering teams to inform the customer/prospect and demonstrate AKM's capabilities.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of semiconductor and its application such as consumer, automotive, and industrial electronics.
  • Understand and manage all phases of the sales cycle in AKM; ability to handle technical/product inquiries.
  • Basic knowledge of international transactions and financial risk control.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Salesforce, and Internet.
  • Oral & Written Communication: proven oral, written, and presentation skills are a must.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
  • A minimum of five [5] years' experience working directly in the semiconductor sales industry.

Essential Capabilities and Work Environment

  • Work usually performed in an office setting or customer setting.
  • Ability to travel [regionally/internationally] as required by role, travel up to 50%.
