Position Overview:

Check City is looking for someone who has working knowledge in the field of SEO and is up to date on the industry's current SEO best practices. As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing SEO strategies for the company.

In this position, you will gain experience completing projects, SEO campaigns, and building and managing Check City's link profile. To succeed in this position, you will want to be excited about the power of Search Engine Optimization, and bring strong teamwork skills as you work alongside other members of the marketing team.

Main Duties Include:

Local SEO Management:

• Maintaining and optimizing the map listings for approximately 70 locations.
• Create weekly reports on reviews and ratings for each state.
• Optimize the store location pages on the website and through YEXT.

On-Site SEO Management:

• You will be responsible for doing in-depth keyword research, competitor research, and using data to create an SEO strategy.
• You will be responsible for continually analyzing data, trends, competitors, and SERP changes to keep content optimized and performing well in the rankings.
• You will be expected to track your KPIs, SEO performance data, set goals, and execute strategies.
• You will be responsible for keeping a healthy link profile on the website, creating 301 redirects, avoiding incorrect 404 errors, and make sure link juice is distributed properly.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of recent experience dedicated to SEO (general marketing experience not sufficient).
• Need to have knowledge and experience creating SEO strategies, troubleshooting SEO issues, performing in-depth keyword research, and managing on-site SEO implementation.
• Some technical SEO knowledge (xml sitemaps, html, GSC, link structures, etc.).
• Experience with analyzing SEO performance data (Google Analytics and any SEO programs you've used).
• Teamwork skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and problem solve
• Experience with SEMrush, Moz, Google Analytics, YEXT, and Search Console is a plus.
