Social Worker Job at Sensory Stepping Stones, LLC
We are seeking skilled Social Workers / Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dynamic team here in the Hudson Valley. We will connect you with families in your specified areas. We offer traditional and alternative mental health services in our Hopewell Junction facility to a wide variety of patients, including children, adolescents, young adults, and families. All therapy sessions are currently held in the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Provide intake evaluations and therapy to children aged 2 through adolescence,
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with children to improve their development of cognition, behavior, communication, self-help, and social-emotional skills;
- Conduct groups sessions with children and adolescents to improve social-emotional skills and self-regulation coping strategies;
- Collaborate with parents to develop and or modify program activities in order to maximize the child’s functional skills;
- Train parents in carry-over activities and techniques to promote the child’s functional and behavioral development throughout the week and in between sessions;
- Preparing daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, and or justification letters and documenting the child’s progress toward meeting established objectives and according to the treatment plan
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- MSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCSW or LP-MHC
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work flexible day and/or evening hours and possibly on weekends
- Flexibility is a MUST
